1. Account deletion
The fastest way to delete your account is inside the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
- Open Bookmarkz and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete My Account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are deleted straight away.
If you cannot use the in-app process
Send us a deletion request instead, from the email address your account is registered under. Use the contact form or email support@bookmarkz.app with the subject “Delete my account”. We action requests within 7 working days and confirm by email when it is done.
Data removed on account deletion
- Your account and sign-in details, including your email address.
- Every bookmark, list, tag, and pin.
- Your settings and preferences.
- Any cached voice-entry transcripts.
- Your address on the Bookmarkz mailing lists (launch, marketing, and beta lists).
Records retained after deletion
A small number of records are kept after account deletion, with your account identifier replaced so they no longer point at you:
- Subscription and financial records, kept in anonymised form for up to 7 years to meet UK tax and accounting law.
- Bug reports and feature requests you submitted, kept anonymised for support and product work.
- Reports you made about AI-generated content, kept anonymised for up to 12 months.
Deleted data may also persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before automatic removal. Backups are used only for disaster recovery.
What is not affected
If you separately opted in to marketing about other Delta 60 products, that consent is independent of your Bookmarkz account and survives deletion. Leave that list any time with the unsubscribe link in any Delta 60 email, or by emailing privacy@delta60.com.
2. Specific data deletion
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data:
- Individual links:open a link’s edit screen and choose Delete.
- All bookmarks or all tags: Settings, Danger Zone, Delete My Data lets you bulk-delete either category.
- Lists: delete a list from Settings, Manage Lists.
- Marketing emails: change your choices in Settings, Marketing Preferences, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
For anything you cannot remove yourself, ask us via the contact form and we will handle it under your UK GDPR rights.
